There's numerous knitted animal books out there, but I really liked this one, with its lead-in character Ed the Explorer (in both safari clothes and winter ones.)
The animals themselves are knitted in subtle colourways and shown in jungle-scene photos. My favorites were the kangaroo (with joey) and the ultra-cute tiger. And I liked the panda with floral fabric paws!

This is a great book, containing lots of lovely photos and patterns.
my grandson picks out which animal he wants next and I get going with the needles. The patterns are clear and concise and would be suitable for all levels.
Ed the explorer is currently still waiting for some hair, as I haven't got round to it, but he's got his hat!!

I really like these knitting patterns but I think a beginner might struggle. Some of the animals are knitted in one piece so you need to be confident and be able to grasp the instructions/concept. However, they turn out really well and Ive made all of them! The parrot is really good as its difficlt to get bird patterns that look good!

I am very disappointed in the pattern as part of it does not work out right. I am an experienced knitter so I was able to adjust the pattern to what it should be. So would not recommend to a beginner, it is not what I thought it would be either. Instructions not very clear for the templates used for the material either.
