I have been to the Hook Peninsula in Ireland, and let me tell you, this book is full of gems. It is so very well researched and well written that anyone who is interested in both the history of this region and the beautiful landscape must purchase this book. It is steeped in glorious detail, filled with pictures, and even has images from archives. It begins with a brief description of the region, and goes on from place to place, village to village describing in great detail both the history and the lore. A MUST HAVE for you library!!
