A very sophisticated aroma, lasting presence and blindingly different from the usual crop of men's fragrances. It's old fashioned, complex and lasting

My favourite EDT is Penhaligon's Sartorial. I thought I would try Blenheim for a change. What a mistake, this smells exactly like Pledge furniture polish.

Save yourself some £ and just pop to Asda and buy a can of Pledge and spray yourself all over, you will end up smelling the same.

Not For Everyone, But... 30 Jan 2013
By J. Deroche - Published on Amazon.com

Definitely for me. As for the "Lemon Pledge" smell...bah humbug! Definitely traces of lemon, but to say furniture polish is to reveal an olfactory sense that is not very keen...that review is probably from the same person that smells great French cuisine and wishes for Kentucky Fried Chicken.

It's a seriously layered scent, has some peppery traces and lasts quite a while. Use sparingly. If layered over Pecksniff's Citron moisturizer,(lemon Pledge users - beware!), it lasts a long while and infuses nicely into your natural chemistry if there's a match.

Expensive, but a nice touch, and quite unique - for me anyway.

One of the Most Brilliant Scents in the World 23 Feb 2012
By Camperkat - Published on Amazon.com
Size Name: 50 ml
I just had to post this review after reading the 1-star review of Blenheim comparing the scent to Pledge furniture spray...it was a funny remark, but...

I think Blenheim Bouquet it is one of the most incredible, wonderful scents out there. I worked in the cosmetics industry for over 20 years, at some pretty big houses, and I have to say that Penhaligon's makes the most impressive, wonderful, natural fragrances. I've been looking for a discounted price on Blenheim, which is how I came across the afore-mentioned 1-star review.

I sometimes wear Blenheim, and my husband really enjoys wearing it...it's clean, not perfumey, but woodsy and green and just slightly spicy (the black pepper?) Yes, has citrus high notes, but a slight hint of lavender balances it and blends it into something else altogether. It does not smell lemony at all to my nose. Also, it has staying power and lasts all day without being overpowering. And...the reason it's so damned expensive is because of the real ingredients vs. the almost 100% synthetics of major American brands made by Estee Lauder, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, etc.

For anyone who's interested, here's the description from the Penhaligon's website:

HEADNOTES: Lemon, Lime and Lavender

HEART NOTES:
None

BASE NOTES:
Pine, Musk and Black Pepper

Yummy! 27 Dec 2012

This fragrance is lovely: citrus and woodsy. Love the way it smells on my husband. The bottle looks great on the bureau, and the long history (created in 1902) is cool.

Fantastic. 5 April 2014
By J. Joyner - Published on Amazon.com
A good friend let me borrow this amazing scent. In no way does it smell like lemon pledge! There is an amazing lime-citrus scent with underlying peppery notes. Over time, the lime scent diminishes while the peppery notes remain. It's a wonderful masculine scent. When sprayed on the chest and lightly applied to the neck, the scent lasts an entire work day.

Wonderful and Different 27 Jan 2014
By Nancy C. Widelski - Published on Amazon.com
I love this fragrance. I bought it during a trip to London not knowing of it's reputation. I prefer different scents that are not the normal perfume smells like most at the fragrance counter at department stores. It's different and refreshing. I can attach it's uniqueness to that of Jo Malone perfumes. Different and exciting.
