This product is useful for anyone who is keen on starting to study ancient Rome. It's rather elementary in nature, but on the plus side it's jam-packed with useful information, maps and illustrations.
Although it's called a historical 'atlas' it isn't exclusively all about maps. In fact, its strengths are in the sheer number of photos, vignettes and diagrams it contains.
Okay, so this is not a high-brow academic piece of work, but, even though I have a number of these items, I still found this colourful overview to be well worth a read.
It's also a bit of a 'tardis' product as it contains much more information that it looks like from the outside.
Overall, a useful addition to the library shelf, particularly if you want to introduce young people to the key historical and cultural aspects of ancient Rome.
