peng for me will always be my favourite stereolab album.stereolab in their own interminable style have through the years, crossed over from indie/pop/jazz but a song by sadier/gane and co has always had the stereolab imprint like blackpool through a stick of rock.
peng is a timeless classic album, and every music fan for a penchant for hook, riff driven guitar music, should by this album orgiastic and peng!33,being two examples on this album.
with laetitia sadiers distinctive vocals and the pulsing melletrons behind ganes guitar playing, this music fuses into pure perfection, with perversion and the seeming and the meaning being my favourite songs on this album.
i am happy for stereolab to have moved into different music directions and not kept repeating a winning formula.thank you for an album that will be played long and loud for many years to come.

I love this album, then again, I love everything Stereolab have done. Their music has evoked massive emotional explosions within me, and still does!PENG! is where it all started.Plato once said "beauty is in the forms". For me , beauty IS stereolab. The only other band that "does it to me" as stereolab do,is Radiohead. The sound track to my life through the 90's, right up to now and beyound.Stereolab.

I love this album, all indie kids should be given a copy, because Stereolab actually did follow the ethos of rejecting commerciality, few have heard this jangly guitar classic. Buy a copy and then lend it to a friend.

AS Stereolab go, this album isn't exactly their greatest triumph but it sure aint bad. If you liked such classics as emperor tom ketchup, dots and loops, ping pong etc then this album won't be a disappointment. As with most Stereolab, if you're a mainstream listener it may take a little bit of getting used to but once you're in the swing of things you'll like what you hear!
