Eberhard Weber is a genius bass player from the European Ambient Jazz melting pot. Most notable for his work with Jan Garbarek.

His solo work consists of entire pieces of music created on one instrument..a unique electric upright bass with a 5th string to reach a higher register. He plays in the traditional upright jazz bass style, cello style (using a bow)and anything else that comes to his hands/mind whilst creating multiple loops of sound. I have seen this man perform solo and it is hard to believe it's all coming from just his hands.

Haunting, beautiful, a true artist!

Words can't express how moving, awe-inspiring and simply beautiful Weber's music is. This is a fantastic recording, and I urge you to buy it!

Well you can listen to this on a PC or ipod but you'll not get the whole experience unless you play it on a very good Hi-Fi system. This CD has the ability to fill your room with glorious sounds and unbelievably good tonal qualities from his Bass.
This really is one of those albums that can be used as a test CD for how good your system is. Don't assume it's for testing your woofers though, It covers the whole spectrum and will demonstrate just what makes a quality system worth the money.
The music ranges from the lively upbeat 'Street Scenes' to the incredibly beautiful ballad 'Silent for a While' - a simple tune played over a very simple repeating Eb-Ab7 but with enough of those unique Eberhard Weber sounds thrown in.
It's hard to believe all the sounds on this album come from his Bass, and to me this isn't particularly relevant because the finished music is a so highly enjoyable. There aren't any annoying filler tracks to skip over either - I can't praise this album enough :)

More of the same as in 'The Colours of Chloe'!! It will provide you with themes to stimulate but relax your aural senses.
