very interesting read.how did anyone actually survive in these circumstances?yet they did.the pendle area is a spooky area,but made so thses days by the tales told before you even arrive.the book is very informative and its very clear to beware of a child with vengence at heart!just as i began to read,a television programme came on concerning the exact time i was reading about,so i found it good to have the written and spoken word on same subject.no matter really what your feelings are on this subject,truthfully,it must have been a terrible time to try and exist.not helped of course,by being denounced by your own family-in this case,granddaughter/daughter/sister.i would recommend.the reason for 4stars is that we are talking about'witches'-hard to really believe in the true sense.OR IS IT?
