Book Description

Former Israeli Mossad operative Gideon Meltzer is a no-nonsense terrorist hunter and founding member of Friends from Damascus. His crack black-ops team will go anywhere and risk anything to eliminate extremists bent on destruction. When religious fanatics steal highly enriched uranium, Gideon’s team is forced to partner with a most unlikely ally – a blind computer genius named Alaleh Koyunlu—to get it back. This Persian beauty is on the run in Paris from not only the police and Western Intelligence agencies who think she has orchestrated the uranium theft, but also from the terrorists who set her up and now want her dead. With the clock ticking and millions of lives on the line, the team must rely upon Alaleh to lead them on a world-wide chase for the missing material and their prey.

I am currently on my fifth book in the"Friends" series, all of which rate five stars. This book is typical of all of them insofar as it remains interesting and exciting throughout.

I've read them all and although a bit softened by the mandatory love angle in each book, they are well told stories. Some of the combat detail shows that the writer has knowledge or experience. Modern combat elements well researched as close to realistic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seriously. Read the book. If you liked Friends from Damascus you are going to be SO happy. 15 Feb. 2012
By Tara - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This novel is, in so many words, amazing. Absolutely gripping from start to finish, The Pelindaba Conspiracy promises for the next interesting and superbly crafted installment in the Friends series. Happy's talent of character development and no nonsense military explanations takes hold of the reader, and won't let go! We are immediately drawn to the new character, Alaleh Koyunlu. Happy is able to capture her point of view beautifully through his prose.

All around, this novel is great. I couldn't put it down. Seriously, I read it in like 24 hours. I would HIGHLY recommend The Pelindaba Conspiracy as well as Cliff Happy! So go and read it! If you haven't read Friends from Damascus, read that too! Read everything!

The Pelindaba Conspiracy the second volume from the Friends of Damascus is one hell of a great read. I truly enjoyed watching Joe come to life, I could not wait until his next scene!! Pick up and read The Pelindaba Conspiracy you will not be disappointed and you will walk away with a most satisfied wholly cow feeling that one always gets when they read a most excellent novel. All 800 pages kept this reader into it from start to finish. This is a fantastic saga one that should not be missed. Enjoy an incredible read and this reader cannot wait for future adventures from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book 29 Jan. 2012
By Ethan - Published on Amazon.com

"The Pelindaba Conspiracy" was the perfect sequel to "Friends from Damascus." I simply could not put it down. The author did an excellent job on getting the reader into the action, at some points making my heart race because I was nervous about what was coming next. I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear your calendar! once you start... how can you stop? 24 Jan. 2012
By P. Shepard - Published on Amazon.com

If you read Cliff Happy's 1st novel, "The Friends from Damascus" you know what a treat you have in store reading this one-- his 2nd book... If you haven't read the first book... start there (*and i envy you!).
In this 2nd book the team is back in action... and it unfolds pretty quickly.
Cliff is such a story teller. His prose if anything is tighter, richer in this 2nd book. The environments stretch all across the globe, but are presented in a way that the reader can "picture/feel" easily. While there are considerable details & "flushing out" of the characters' personalities, the major attraction for me (and I assume for others) are the non-stop, heart-pumping, pure action segments.
I've caught myself looking at the clock (after midnight) trying to put the book down & go to bed before some episode unfolds, only to stay up a couple of hours more-- racing through the scenes ...
I've not said anything about people, places or situations... as i don't want to take any of the surprise or suspense out of it for you, dear reader.
you don't know me, but trust me... start reading this author. and buckle on your protective gear and take a few days off to get this book (and the 1st book! first) read. enjoy!

an aside: I've "hounded" the author for the release of this book (BTW, he invites your e-mails-- his e-mail is easily found inside either book). Now I'll start in on him for the release of book #3.
So, Mr. Happy... if you see this, "where's my book #3?"

Couldn't put it down. It's obvious that a great deal of research has gone into these novels. The plots are spot on and the characters are very well developed. What a great read!
