Excellent book, just a shame we had to wait so long for it. Let's hope the next one will not make us wait so long. This is the third book in the Talent series which was started somewhere in the 70s. We see some of the characters of the previous books as they grow up to become adult and grow into their specific talents. As can be expected of McCaffrey the characters are well worked out and the plotting is excellent in it's complex simplicity. The end of the book somehow gives the impression this may be the last one in the series. I just hope it's not.
