This is book three in the pegasus series and is an excellent addition to the other books and if you haven't read them already then i definitely recommend the series as a whole.

This book begins in Olympus where Emily lives along with her father, her best friend Joel and all the Olympians from Greek/Roman mythology. Having settled into their new home, (even teaching the Olympians to play football) life on Earth is becoming a distant memory, that is until they see a photo of a racehorse who looks suspiciously like Pegasus. Emily, Pegasus and friends travel to Earth to unwravel the mystery of the racehorse and end up discovering the CRU's worst crimes yet. Can Emily save Earth from the wrath of Olympus once Jupiter learns exactly what the CRU are capable of?

I have to admit that when I started this book I was unsure as to whether it could possibly have a storyline to rival the other two books as the main threat from the first story, the nirads was explained and worked out in book two, I didn't know how the story could continue on but it actually links in brilliantly from the first two focusing istead though on saving Earth rather than Olympus. The CRU are back and are more evil than ever, all the best characters from the first books return (although we don't see much of Cupid) and some great new characters are introduced such as Alexis the sphinx and Frankie. Emily's flame powers are magnified along with some new ones she has no idea how to control, stronger than ever, she must learn to harness her powers or risk destroying everything around her.

I thought that this book was great, Emily was strong and defiant and stood up for everything that she believed in and I think her character has really developed. I enjoyed the Vegas setting and the idea of Area 51. For me the CRU remains one of the best aspects of these books as they are such an evil, such a threat, disguised as the greater good and I liked that we learn a bit more about them in this book. I thoroghly enjoyed this book even more so because I didn't think it could compare to the others in the series and it was every bit as good. The story was fast paced and gripping and the climax even more exciting as the characters struggled to save Earth. If you have read the other two books then this is a must read and if you haven't then I would definitely recommend the series as a whole. Excellent.

This book is great but there are some continuity errors:
The name of the nirad prince changes from Toban to Tobin
And Emily saw Pluto at the banquet at the end of the 2nd book
But apart from that the book is great and i have read it lots of times already.
