The author clearly illustrates what the benefit are, what the probable problems (from lack of management buy-in to psychological issues about having your own scrutinized by peers) may be and how to mitigate them.
The book is language/platform agnostic, well organized and of manageable proportions (three things you don't always find together in a technical book).
The author is obviously convinced that reviews in general are extremely powerful tools for sw quality (on a par with testing) but throughout the book he sounds always fair and balanced in his view, without any zealotry or preaching about specific approaches or methodologies.
If you want to introduce reviews in your organization or you are just curious about them I believe that this book is a very good choice.
In my opinion, this book is an important contribution to the field. I'm sufficiently impressed that I've passed copies of the book to a few busy software development managers, software engineers and business managers so far. They've taken the time to look at it, and they find the book talks to them -- it is clear, addresses their issues, offers practical solutions which they may not have considered before, and is persuasive. I believe the book will have a postive influence in their organizations.
