This is an excellent book for children. Both of our grandchildren (aged 2 and 4) loved it - especially its' style. They particularly liked following the loopy line of the egg pathway as it passed from one animal to another and then hatched into a baby bird at the end.

I bought this for a friend's little boy when he was ill and he loved it. Bright and colourful. I spent part of my childhood in the Scottish Highlands and "Peely Wally" is a name used to described someone who looks pale because they're ill.

My 3 and a half year old daughter loves this story. It is a brief and colourful tale of Peely Wally and how her egg suddenly falls out of the tree rolling away and bouncing past many of her animal friends. Peely Wally has to catch her egg before the worst might possibly happen! The story is very basic and somewhat lacking to me but my daughter likes the simplicity of it. The illustrations are bright and very striking and the surprising page at the end is a definite winner with her!
