Disc one (of the six) starts with the Pearl & Dean theme 'asteroid' and from there on through we have six disc's of some of the greatest music themes heard over a period from 1939 to 2010.
I believe that the choices made (voted on by the public) does indeed cover some of the best in theme music heard over the ages and there will be something for everyone to listen to and enjoy.
The six disc's have been sorted into eras, which is both good and bad; good in the fact that you'll hear music from the movies out around the same time, but means you have to go to separate discs if you want to listen to themes from 'Lord of the Rings' followed by 'Star Wars' at the same time.
I like to listen to this in house through the speaker system and also it makes for enjoyable listen when travelling on long journeys.... One thing you will find is that you tend to play it loud as you start to get into the themes.
A great purchase that I very glad that I made, well worth picking up.

Please be warned before parting with your hard earned, these are not by the original artists. I am sending mine back, very disappointed. Thought it was too good to be true.

A cracking collection of movie themes. Talk about remind you of some good films.
Really worth buying.
In some cases I couldn't have told you the name of the song or who had written it but now my film and music knowledge has been increased for the pub quiz!
