Really useful stuff! 27 Jun 2006
By Loz
Format:Paperback
I'm not a financial expert, but I'm always on the lookout to save money, and I found this book really useful in providing tips on how to save tax. It's split into sections that relate to different stages of life including work & self employment, family tax and tax on pensions and for retirement, tax on savings and investments, and tax on property. If you have to complete a self assessment form it also gives you advice on how to do that. All of this is done in simple straight-forward language and is laid out really clearly so the information is easy to digest. It's also a chunky book, so feels like real value for money! Definitely recommended!

I thought it was about time that I tried to understand tax but had avoided the topic as it was very likely to be dull and impossible to understand. However, i've found this book is packed with really good advice on saving tax - without breaking the rules - and explains it all really clearly - without being patronising. It also covers every aspect of the topic, including self assessment, so that you get the full picture - highly recommended!
