Product Description

Leo Gregory (Green Street, Cass) and Adam Deacon (Bonded By Blood, Adulthood) are back on explosive form in this brutal film, which has been compared to Football Factory and Lock Stock. Welcome to the world of football stars, hooligans and gang violence. It's a bloody, vicious world where money and stardom clash dangerously with the darker side of the beautiful game. When ex-hooligan Jerome (Deacon) finds fame as a premiership footballer he thinks he can finally escape his violent past. But it seems all the money, fast cars and fast women in the world can't keep that past from resurfacing and dragging him back into the criminal underworld he tried so hard to escape…

2.0 out of 5 stars Tacky. 12 Nov 2012
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This film seems like it was made over the bar of a nuts or zoo magazine work's booze up, or a max clifford text idea to a miramax heavy that just got laughed at and told to grow up with a 'dont worry we will call you clifford, who's the star, kerry katona?'' no probs.........''

Now I am not deacon bashing, I need a reason, ok here goes, every Adam Deacon film leaves you feelin blue [ pun intended] with pure
coldness, cos you will never feel warm or green with envy of a guy who makes every movie look like a Theatre in Education or for the knowits, T.I.E. production. He talks good, and smooth, and oozes natural cheeky ends swagger, he's reppin the cool crew, but it's too much potogenic style over any credible character actor substance. I don't believe he can be what he talks in movies. He's hardly leadin man frame or stature, so in the end you just get alot of adlibs and '''coool blad's'' safe innits and so on etc..

Payback Season rushes more than ian to get to the right parts,so all you get is a few funky night out scenes, where the clothing brands benefit more than the movie,it's like watchin a channel 5 version of dream team, with a hollyoaks production. The scenes look improvised, like Mike Lee is hidin behind the camera hiding all the scripts, all following the same street urban blueprint, basically Noal Clarks carrer in 1, 30 mins. Tullisa coulda made this movie, that's what we are dealing with here. Entertaining, like a stripper, until she talks. It's pure Swagger. Nothing else.

I'm sure Nick Love bigs up this film, he's probably writing the sequel, Keiron Dyers long lost brother Danny form the best strike partnership in the confrence ever, only to take on the mk don massive firm with Vinnie Jones as head rival, over an off the pitch trafficking scandal that left Ross Kemps daughter kidapped by Tamir Hassan, now kemp's cousin Vinnie is out for bitter revenge, and he also does karate. Any Takers? Actually I might nick that one. myself......!
