I bought this book from Amazon not expecting too much, either in the way of helpful hints or a usable map. What a surprise I had in store... the book has a list of useful advice, some very detailed and descriptive walk itineraries and a wonderful map!
Having holidayed on other Greek Islands many times before we were aware of their reluctance to provide anyone with a usable map. Imagine the shock I had when I unfolded the map of Paxos and found that it compared almost exactly with the satellite image on google maps!!
You also have the opportunity to update your book online which means that you don't have to worry about buying a new book every year. What a great idea.
Definitely worth the money I paid for it and I will not hesitate to buy other titles in the series.

Generally good if occasionally a bit vague about exactly where to go. Also occasionally sends you on odd detours for no obvious reason apart from making the walk 100 metres longer. Provided you take a bit of care though it'll lead you on some great walks. Following it I didn't get halted by locked gates or new buildings or anything so it's up to date, well, as far as September 2010 anyway. Recommended, as are all the other Sunflower guides I have used.

I bought this book before I left for Paxos in June as it was the guide specifically for Paxos. The trouble is June was hot hot hot and not much chance of us doing any walking - just like the book said. In summer its better to just swim in coves and go on a boat trip to cool down from the breeze.
However, Paxos is beautiful and I plan to go back at a cooler time of the year and do some walking using this book - as the views from the coast are stunning. I'll just have to buy another book as mine got soaked on a cove to cove swim out there!
