    I wanted a machine to replace my old HP laptop which lasted for about 6 years before finally giving up the ghost despite being knocked around and generally ill used.The HP Pavillion has proved a nice machine with good resolution and screen. Started with no problems and has behaved itself fine since then. Its a nice size too. Despite a high resolution is not a huge machine which was a godsend compared to a lot of the machines I saw in the shops. Only badside is the cover which is very shiny and so picks up fingerprints easy, but its a lot better than my work Lenovo in this regard which has a matt rubber finish which is incredibly difficult to clean. Early days yet but I would ecommend this machine.

    I have had just about all makes of laptop over the past 15 years for work and play and this is a lovely looking machine that performs REALLY well when it works.
    Maybe I have just been unfortunate but our machine has had a catalogue of malfunctions despite minimal use (wireless had to be replaced twice, screen backlight replaced, dvd player replaced, kept switching itself off for no apparent reason(not sure what they replaced for that one), key board replaced...need I go on!)....Considering the price I expected better reliability!
