Paul Power grew up in Cork, Ireland and emigrated to London in 1986 where he worked for the civil service. When he could no longer face working for those he would later describe as 'the greatest bunch of idiots who I wouldn't trust to walk me safely across the road, let alone manage my career,' he walked out, and returned to a business he'd successfully run as a schoolboy. His Gardening Business became a huge success and allowed him break free of the chains of 'being employed.' His first book, Starting Your Own Gardening Business was published in 2001 and is now in it's third edition. Since then he has gone on to start a number of other successful businessses including the Littlehampton Dutch Bike CO, and has written four non-fiction books covering everything from running a gardening business to starting a business from home.
