There are two legends about the origin of Paul Mitchell.
One states that Paul Mitchell is a mild mannered reporter for the daily planet or that one what Spiderman works for. Whenever he hears about a disaster he suddenly disappears while everyone's back is turned and all that's left is a load of flying paper in the office, which no one finds suspicious at all. It is believed he was schooled by invisible Ninja's in a remote Tibetan mountain village where he went by the name of 'The White Seagull', which was confusing as seagulls are predominantly white anyway. He's a ghost - an enigma. He exists only in your darkest dreams and your worst nightmares. And Reading.
The other origin story is that Paul met Alan Mechem in Cambridge 10 years ago where they studied together and began colaborating on projects in and out of University. Their first work, The Man That Time Forgot, is now available in both Kindle and Paperback versions. Their second, Chimp Plan: Z (a novel for a younger, but equally barmy audience) was released in Summer 2016.
Whatever origin you choose to believe is down to reader preference.
