The jewel of my personal collection, 2 July 2001
By A Customer
Well this DVD is a fantastic item for those who were not at Cavern club on 14th December 1999.And for the people who was there [What lucky you are :)]. It contains pure Rock and Roll interpreted by Rock and Roll legends on a mythical place (well a reconstruction of that mythical place) (Paul, David Gilmour, Ian Paice, Mick Green and Pete Wingfield). The band is in a perfect condition!! Also includes a promo video with sessions of the recordings of "Run Devil Run" album an interview and two promotional clips. Another DVD I recommend you is "Standing Stone" totally diferent 'cause is a classical piece but lovely to see the composing process.

Paul Gets Back, 27 Dec 2005
This is a treasure of a concert: definitely a one-off, in a small, classic venue with a band to drool over. The same musicians who played on Run Devil Run - easily one of Paul's best albums - seem to be having a ball being so close to an audience, which seems to be having as good a time as the band.
Paul plays most of the Run Devil Run album, and adds a surprise which I won't spoil. His stage patter is perfectly suited to the occasion, at one point, daring someone to 'come up here and say that' or words to that effect.
There are some great songs, both covers and originals, but I really like the zydeco version of Brown Eyed Handsome Man and Eddie Cochran's 20 Flight Rock, which, Paul explains, was what got him into The Beatles. The double guitar racket of Gilmour and Mick Green gives the concert an attack which is missing from some of Sir Paul's other live outings. Paul is in good voice, only showing some strain during No Other Baby; he really is a marvel.
The sound is OK for a live DVD, although a bit thin in the bass and drums department. The DVD also has interviews and a 'making of feature' where Paul provides the background to the album and how he got the band together. The concert is well photographed and makes you feel like you were there.
This is a must for any Beatles/McCartney fan.

Run Devil Run...to buy this DVD!!, 21 Dec 2004
A rare concert inside the Cavern Club; back where it all began, in 1999, with 3,000 lucky fans inside. Paul performs his rock n roll album, "Run Devil Run" with a band which includes Pete Wingfield, Dave Gilmour and Ian Paice. Every song is fantastic, as is his interaction with the crowd.
The bonus features include the videos for No Other Baby and Brown Eyed Handsome Man, and a promo Paul does where he talks about the background to all the songs. He is also interviewed by his mate Jools Holland. I love this DVD and I promise you will not be disappointed, either.
