I bought this game for my nephews and it went down a storm! The games contains a board beautifully illustrated with the characters from the book, five characters with stands - the dog, the frog, the bird, the cat and of course the dragon, a spinner and cards with pictures of the elements of the spell on - a bone, a lilly, a cone and a twig. The aim of the game is to move around the board gathering all four elements of the spell and get to the cauldron to cast the iggety, ziggety, zaggety, zoom spell but you must avoid being caught by the dragon! The spinner gives you both a number for the character and the dragon to move. If the dragon actually lands on a space occupied by a character then that person loses their spell cards and has to return to the start. I thought this might make the game too long but I actually lost all my cards twice but still won! You can play it with two, three or four players obviously the more players the longer the game but the rules can easily be adapted if necessary for younger children or to shorten the game necessary. My newphews picked it up really quickly though. A really good board game based on a classic book. Good value for money too.

My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves Room on the Broom story book so I bought this game to capture her interest and she absolutely loves it. The object of the game is to make your way around the board in order to collect 4 different 'spell ingredients' whilst being chased by a dragon. This game is perfectly balanced in terms of stretching young minds but not so complex that they lose interest quickly. Excellent buy!!!

A beautifully illustrated board game based on the brilliant Julia Donaldson book. The game is easy to play but with twists and turns to make it interesting and fun for all playing (not just the children). Teaches the good old values of game playing such as taking turns, counting and of course the ability to lose as well as win!

Any fans of the book or DVD will really enjoy this nice little game. The aim is to collect the spell ingredients and be the first to throw them into the witch's cauldron without the dragon landing on the same space you're on - if this happens, it's back to the start and goodbye to the ingredients! Children seem to love the idea of the dragon chasing them and the board, cards and play pieces are lovely thanks to Alex Scheffler's unmistakable illustrations.

For any child who is a fan of Julia Donaldson books and in particular Room on Broom, this game will be an absolute winner. The game is beautifully packaged and is of really good quality – the board and pieces are really sturdy with gorgeous illustrations from the book and the spinner works properly (which you do not always get in some games). The game arrived on Saturday (two days ago) and my little girl (4 years old) absolutely loves it - we have played it at least 8 times already! Fantastic value for money and this is certainly one that will be bought for friends’ presents.

I brought this game for my friends daughter as she is a big fan of the book and she loves it . I would say the age would be more 4+ years tho as there are quite a lot of elements to the game but its an absolute must for fans of the book.
