Love the original book, but like the Killip - In-Flagrante, the prints on the page are really too small to get the impact of the original .. why on earth they didn't make the book the same dimensions (if not size) as the originals . For me a waste of time.. go to the library and look at the originals, or for gods sake reprint the actual book ! , lets give people a chance to see this kind-of work as it was intended to be seen - truly game changing and wonderful work. rubbish re-print

Errata editions have done a great job on this title and their ongoing 'Books on Books' series in general. The titles they have chosen (including Chris Killip's 'In Flagrante' and Walker Evans 'American Photographs')are unlikely to ever be reprinted in their original format again. By reproducing the pages of the original book they are capturing the original as an object, reproducing the text, and adding an additional essay. This is not a facsimilie. Yes, the reproduction of photographs is much smaller than the original, but the book is well printed and the essay in this volume is excellent. This important series sets out to make titles available to all. In most cases it seems unlikely the original will ever be reprinted, so this is a good second best!

" The inside look" Revealing Briton's welfare system 25 July 2013
By H. Vandross - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
Though sparse in it's text; this book speaks volumes in understanding Briton's welfare system. The Photos taken by Paul Graham candidly reveal the strong similarities between the welfare (albeit failing) system of Briton as compared to the U.S. The pictures tell a story, a story of a government struggling to care for its own. This book is a pictorial treasure. I purchased it because all of the photos were shot with a Plaubel Makina 67 (I own a Plaubel) and I wanted to see firsthand the quality of this artist's work.
