In "Patterns of Grace," Debbie Macomber has some inspiring thoughts drawn from her experience of God's presence in her life. It's interesting, well written material.

However, the book's formatting hasn't adapted well to being on a Kindle.

Evidently "Patterns of Grace" is intended to have a series of lines after every section for the reader to jot down a response to the day's reading. (At least these lines are present on my Kindle version.) In electronic media, to have from one to four pages of horizontal lines after each chapter is simply a nuisance. The intrusive lines take up space to no purpose.

Also, there's a problem on the Kindle with the capital letters at the beginning of each segment of the book. The initial capital is missing or separated--sometimes even on a different page--from the word it belongs with. It's off-putting for readers who care about a book's appearance.

I'm a devoted Kindle owner, but I feel that because of technical flaws, the electronic version of "Patterns of Grace" is overpriced and undervalued. If you want to read and enjoy this book, I suggest getting a hard cover copy.

We become His special instruments uniquely designed to work His miracles in someone else's life to the glory of God.

It is not always easy to find where our life fits into God's design, but by waiting on Him, keeping in His Word, and not trying to rush the circumstances, we find a special peace being in the center of God's will.

No matter what terror or illness comes our way, knowing God is in control gives quiet peace.

Always enjoy Debbie's books. Chose this rating because it's a good devotional book for self improvement and awareness . I would recommend this book and author - have actually done so to like-minded friends. Highly recommend.
