About the Author

Shigeru Nakamura started his career as an art director. He went on to establish his own design company and has produced several design pattern books. He is a member of JAGDA (Japan Graphic Designers Association).

Excellent Pattern Sourcebook 11 Feb 2012

Great print quality, fantastic Chinese designs. Lots of patterns that can be adapted for various projects (like house renovation, or clothing design etc.)
Also very useful for art-school students, my son finds is very inspirational for his dec. composition lessons.
I'd recommend all the books from these series as a source of inspiration but also very good informative books on visual art from around the world.

Format:Paperback

This book is filled with beautiful patterns and designs. They include peonies, the phoenix and Chinese characters/symbols. It also comes with a great and helpful CD-ROM. Great for artists, or people trying to find their inner artist.
