I have just finished reading Pattern Colour and Form by Carolyn Genders and have thoroughly enjoyed and been inspired by it. The photos are beautiful and varied, the layout is clear and easy to read and it is very informative.
The author has concentrated on the work of several artists, giving them separate chapters, illustrating different techniques and a wide variety of inspiration for their work. For anyone interested in art, pottery, textiles, glass and jewellry this book would fascinate and educate at the same time. It has certainly inspired me to begin creative work of some sort possibly starting with doing some mosaic to go over the top of the concrete blocks currently in my tiny courtyard garden.
If you have friends who are interested in art in a wide variety of forms I would recommend that you buy a copy for you and for them - they will be thrilled I am sure and so will you!
