First of all the service from the seller was outstanding, unordered it on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday.

The product itself is fantastic, very well made tough bag with hidden storage, zip compartment, netted pockets etc etc. There are a lot of pockets for storing different items all of which are useful size.
The main compartment is huge and can be unzipped right the way down the side of the bag meaning clothes, shoes etc can be put in folded and neat the zip up the bag around the luggage keeping everything in place.
The shoulder straps are nicely padded, comfortable and feel very sturdy.
I am over the moon with this purchase, I am still supposed at just how good the quality is, I paid £30 for this bag and would happily have paid double and still been very happy.
If you want a well made, well thought out back pack that is tough, practical and looks good, this is the one!

I've taken this out on exercise twice now and it's fared really well, including river crossings - it has a plasticised inside lining which is pretty rainproof. It's about the right size to go under the top flap of a bergan and the separated compartments are great for knowing where your kit is in the dark.

The alternative to this to my mind is £100+ on a karrimor or camelbak equivalent, so I'm happy with the purchase.

The customer service from these guys is excellent, they answered all emails within a couple of hours and really value your custom.

Works really well with MTP but will need to be faded a bit by washing or camming up for it to fit in a bit better, but that should happen when taken into the field anyway. (Have tried wearing it with MTP at home and it does work very well together)

As a rucksack it works well and is a good size. I would recommend the larger size personally as it would probably be more useful.

I definitely prefer this style of daysack to the NI Patrol Pack as the pouches/compartments are better placed and I also note that a camelback would fit perfectly into one of the pouches thus making it a perfect daysack for either the outdoors or out on exercise.

To conclude I would say that as an MTP alternative this is high quality and worth the £30!

I have been testing this bag for little more than a week, so I feel myself fully eligible to review this bag.

So to start with I would say this bag is cool, it's not exactly what I was looking for, because I wanted to get fashionable piece as much as I would like to have my bag half way empty, rather than having to deal with lack of space. That's pretty much all negative I can even say or think of regarding this great bag. Only thing I can say is never buy stuff you need to investigate, i.e in terms of size via facility which doesn't let you do so.. Therefore it's kinda my bad, even though would expect more room from 'army' bag. Shipment took a bit longer than normally, as it's not being shipped from UK, BUT this immaculate support from the seller I got straight away after my complaint about it, was just striking.
So again, as I said it's very nice bag, no doubts someone will pay you a compliment, BUT I cannot strongly recommend this bag to you if you are going to drag significant weight every day or even for a hike or trip it's not something I would suggest.

I have waited a few months before reviewing to ensure what I say is fair.

Positives:
# inexpensive.
# lots of storage space.
# useful variety of different sized pockets.

Negatives

# you cannot tell from the photos but this does not match current issue MTP, the colours are very different.
# the zips are operated with cord ties, these have now all snapped and as such it is a pain the arse to open and close the bag.
# the back is soft and as such has no support, you instantly feel anything irregularly shaped poking through the padding.
# try running with weight and the rucksack bangs against your back (you could of course use the waist belt but I hate these).
# there is not sufficient ventilation at the back and as such your back gets very sweaty.

So in summary, if you are a civvie and just want a military style rucksack for normal everyday use then this will probably do the job; if you are a military, the issued rucksack is better, so stay clear. Personally I don't think you can ever go wrong with a Berghaus Munroe.

Great bag. I use it as a camera bag as unzips all the way around. Only trouble is there is no padding in the back so bits dig in to you. I just put a piece of foam in the back compartment. Good for the money though.

But...

Took a month to arrive. Pretty sure they forgot to post it to me. after three or so weeks of waiting I contacted them, and to give them their dues they posted another special delivery. It comes from Ireland which isn't really obvious so takes longer any way.

Great value for money . Highly recommended. It has stacks of space and loads pouches to keep items secure in it
