This is an excellent bag in terms of design and quality, but it is no where near 50 liters. The compartments are all simple rectilinear shapes, so it's relatively easy to measure the dimensions of the individual compartments (fully expanded) and calculate the total volume. By doing this, I found it to be just over 26 liters - almost half what is claimed! I'm aware that rucksacks are usually advertised as being a bit bigger than they actually are, but I feel this is going too far. I wondered if they'd sent me the 30L model by mistake, but according to the global dimensions they give in the product description, this must be the "50L" bag.

If the bag volume was accurately described I would have no hesitation in giving this 5 stars.

Good points:

- Belt is detachable. I think this is great, as I would only want the belt on long walks. It detaches easily and can be stowed inside the bag.

- Construction quality is good.

- Main compartment opens up like clam shell.

- Plenty of pockets inside for organising items.

- There are two 'main' compartments, so you could have one for laptop, and one for after-work gym session gear.

- Compression straps can be used to make the bag look very small.

- There are actually two pockets which could be used for a water bladder - one directly behind the back padding and one inside the large main compartment. I've never seen this on a ruck sack before.

Bad points:

- No where near as big as stated.

Well made and sturdy bag. I think it will be water resistant looking at the rubberised internal material, I assume IF any water gets in the bag will be via the zips. Shoulder straps are nicely padded and are a comfortable fit (I haven't been on a long walk with a lot of stuff in it yet). Excellent value for money.

Small external pouch (top) contains: no pockets
Large external pouch (bottom) contains: small internal pocket (hand size) + pockets for 3 pens and a penknife
First inner compartment contains: small internal pocket (hand size) + 2 mesh pockets (12x8cm each) - smart phone size
Main inner compartment contains: large mesh pocket (29x28cm) + (11x28cm) zipped pocket
Water bladder (?) compartment: no pockets, but has valcro sealable top. It's between the main body of the bag and back padding.

I'll give it 4 stars because delivery took over a month (10th Sept. to 13th Oct) to arrive!

Just received my bag and on first appearance it looked quite small. However after undoing the clips it opened out to an impressive size. Good for hiking and as a cabin bag to take onboard a plane. The material is lovely. Feels and looks great! The quality is also of a high standard. I'm looking forward to trying it on my trip the the far east!

Quite simply an amazing rucksack for the price! Far more spacious than I expected, but compacts down very well with side and bottom compression straps. "Three wide" MOLLE pouch mounted without problems on MOLLE webbing to the front and sides of the pack, which is a clear plus as the pack has potential to hold a lot more gear, both in modular pouches, and also held in by the compression straps.

I plan to make a few slight mods to this rucksack to improve it's lifetime, but I believe that for the price, you will not find a pack built to a higher quality(Ze Germans!!!), or with so much capacity, on the market!

I have spent ages looking for a good bag to take into the field for vermin control. Affordability, size and configuration all played a part in selecting this bag.
Using the straps to tighten everything down and using the 2 external pockets with the middle main pocket was sufficient for a half day out in field.
my existing 2 litre water bladder fitted easily in the custom slot for it, food, flask, Knife, Binoculars, etc ... all fitted with ease.
Its tough material and zips performed well in the mud and dirt and it doubled as a Rest for the rifle.
Quite simply i wish i had bought this earlier .. i love it

Excellent bag. I bought it for travelling easyjet (hand luggage) as I make the journey from Inverness to London regularly. I like carrying a rucksack but get fed up with all my clothes getting crumpled. This good quality waterproof bag has suitably sized compartments for clothes etc. It keeps them folded and flat. The large compression straps allow it to be pulled smaller once packed. I will also use it as a daysack while out walking with the Scouts. I will be able to separate kit as there are many internal compartments. It is comfortable to wear, with a good support belt and padded straps.

This is the second one of these I've bought, because I think these are comfortable, robust and adaptable backpacks. (The first was in red colour, but I needed this green one for something)
Its got excellent zips and stitching, multiple compartments and pockets, the MOLLE system for attaching more things to the outside, comfortable straps, can be slim line or expanded to be big depending on needs, passes airline carry on luggage size specifications. I've loaded it up, walked around with it on my back for three days, and hardly felt any discomfort. If I were to suggest improvements to the manufacturers, it would be that they constantly strive to reduce the mass of the empty pack without compromise on carrying capacity, comfort, robustness, features. And maybe think about how people could hang more things to the front straps to counterbalance the weight at the back and keep an eye on things (e.g. ruggedised yet accessible camera cases)

Arrived as described and in good condition. Good communication from the seller. For the cost involved; this is good value for money. No flaws in the construction. Comfortable on long treks with ample adjustment. I purchased this as a daysack in my role as a National Parks Ranger, and it has proved to be very suitable and user friendly. There are much more expensive similar items on the market that have failed me in the past. My nephew has also purchased one for his cadet activities and speaks well of it.

Great backpack great product i order quite abit through mil-tec and they are awesome products at great prices the pack is strong and looks pretty durable the only downside to the buying process on the whole was delivery as it takes just over 3 weeks for items to be delivered as they do not offer courier or faster delivery but its not their fault northern ireland and the uk's pistal services dont know how to work together other than all that Its an amazing pack for the price :)

This backpack is very well made and of high quality, it was bought as a "roving bag" for fishing and it does the job very well indeed. There is plenty of space for a days food, bait and gear, plus there are plenty of external straps for attaching mats, clothing etc, even a small folding chair can be strapped to the side. Fully loaded it is very comfortable to carry, with good padded carry straps. It is excellent value for money and highly recommended.
