I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2006 and this was the first book I bought when trying to learn more about my condition. I had wondered for several years if I had PCOS but always thought that I mustn't, as everytime I read about it, it said that you would be overweight. I'm not, by any means. So it was a surprise to be diagnosed with it. This book is useful in parts, but it really does focus on losing weight, and how that will benefit you and the condition. But what about if you don't need to lose weight? I have managed to find better books for my situation. The one good thing I got from this book was how you can still be diagnosed with PCOS during / after the menopause and how the condition can still affect you at this point in your life. It described by mum's symptoms to a T and so she has found the book helpful.
