By Dr. Delvis Memphistopheles TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Paperback
Resonates to some extent with Yalom and Love's Exexcutioner in empathy although has differing case studies and effects.

This is the practical application in therapy of Alice Miller's insights. The family as a form of toxic psychology is explored within the various people who she works with.

Alice is a pioneer in her world and as she has lifted the lid the outcry has been ostracism, silence and eventually as she has battered down the door, a type of feigned boredom.

What is interesting are the reactions to her work as she send shockwave after shockwave into academia and personal life understanding. This joins the panoply of works she was written standing head and shoulders above all others.

Why wait?

this book offers situations where,in a perfect world, parents would sit down with their children and face-to-face,own up to and take responsibilty for the damage inflicted onto their children whilst trying to raise them, allowing understanding and healing to take place, freeing up all involved to grow together as people who care.I,personally have tried this with my own family and can assure you we do NOT live in a perfect world.that,in itself is saddening, but the book gives hope where perhaps there was none before.if only for that reason it's a worthwhile read.God bless you all who feel the need to buy it.For you are on the positive road..
