Book Description

18 Jan 2011 Pathfinder. Module
The priests of Pharasma in the strange city of Kaer Maga have long sold plots in their ossuary to those rich enough to afford them - a place of honor and stature for one's bones to lie after death. Yet now, this mausoleum has become full, and it is time to break into a new and unexplored wing of the dungeons under Kaer Maga to create more room. To a band of fledgling heroes, eager to make names for themselves, this represents a singular opportunity - a chance to explore a heretofore sealed section of the Godsmouth Ossuary and perhaps make a fair amount of gold on the side. The only catch is that they'll need to survive what strange and ancient mysteries lie within! An urban and dungeon adventure for 1st-level characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entry Level Adventure... 27 Sep 2012

Pretty good module. Straight-up, entry-level dungeon crawl, best with 4 PCs (one of whom should be a cleric or similar). I found some of the encouters very, very difficult for entry level characters, especially those run by new players: some of the traps, in particular, were pretty savage. There also seemed to be a large amount of constructs, which are tough for 1st level characters to handle. It will take about two sessions to get through this module for an average group. I would recc. modding the adventure to tone down some of the harder encounters, and adding a random monster table (skeletons, zombies, rats, etc.) for the second session, as the main "villain" is intelligent enough to start sending minions out to scout for intruders. All in all a competent adventure.
4.0 out of 5 stars Looks like fun! 15 Jan 2013

I am starting a campaign with this module and have almost finished reading through it as I prepare to begin running it. I wish I was playing it! It reminds me of a mini-tomb of horrors. There are lots of great encounters, challenges and traps. I've altered the beginning a little bit as far as how the players get sent to the Ossuary but they do offer some great options within the module itself. I've heard this is pretty deadly for 1st level players, and reading through I can see that potential but honestly I think that'll make this an even better introduction for the players to my campaign. My only criticism is maps. I am running this online so using virtual tabletop but I've had to recreate by hand all the maps. It would be nice when you're buying game modules that they provide quality, functional maps with the adventure and not small one page references for huge dungeons.

This is a great starting point for 1st level characters. Beautiful art work and maps and tons of ideas to further the action. Pacing is great and the challenges are diverse. I highly recommend.
