Holy c$*p! I turned this thing on while looking into the lens and nearly had my retinas scorched! It's hella powerful! Build quality is solid and not overly complicated; which tends to be a problem that compromises weatherproofing with a lot of these headlamps. The price is astounding when you consider what you're getting. I bought this lamp for inshore, nighttime sea fishing off Antigua W.I. where not only is a headlamp essential for seeing what you're doing but can also help attract fish to your boat. This lamp will be more than adequate for those tasks. If you're a nighttime angler of any description, I would have to say this lamp is an essential addition to your tackle box.

This cheap headlamp is a rival to any dearer headlamps out there. This has a VERY bright light (when used with all 21 LEDs) and the tilt on the light itself is a neat idea too. The straps are comfy as well, and keep the light securely and comfortably on your forehead. This saved me tripping over many a tent at my last music festival! I would recommend this to anyone as it is perfect for ANY camping trip as well as throughout the house.

Had one of these purchased for me by my son in-law when tackling a job of wiring five seperate lights in his rather large attic, prior to insulating and boarding it out. Although I had planned to trail a wander lamp around with me, I humoured him and used the Pathfinder Headlamp. It was brilliant! not just in the quality of the light it produces but also in providing me with 'hands-free illumination, directed perfectly to wherever I happened to be looking.Having completed the wiring and switched on the newly installed lighting so that I could tackle the rest of the attic job, I still continued to wear the very comfortable headlamp as I found it very useful to be able to flick on when working in the areas that remained in shadow. I am not sure what use, if any, I will have of its flashing facility but as a lamp I know that it will be on hand, kept in my tool kit, for future DIY jobs in low light situations. I would certainly recommend the Pathfinder Headlamp to other DIY enthusiasts as it provides a perfect intense light, exactly where you want it, without having to persuade a 'helper' to do it for you.
