Samuel Kwok teaches the direct distillation of Yip Man's Wing Chun. You really can't get a "purer" form (although some would argue this!) I've only been studying Wing Chun for about 6 months, but without this book I'd be far, far behind. Used in conjunction with lessons from a good Sifu, this book will be a very valuable resource! The section on Sil Lim Tao is pretty good too, if I'm being pedantic I'll point out that he's missed mentioning the Jut Sau in the first part (although maybe my instructor has added this), but other than that it's spot on!

By Pete
I'm loathed to be negative about Master Kwok's book as it is just about the definative guide to SLT and basic attack/defence strategies out there (I've had a look through most of them and own more than a couple). The thing that annoys me a bit about the book is the production - which is quite poor with an almost homemade quality to it.

I would strongly suggest to Master Kwok's publishers that they completely revise the next edition of this book using digital colour photography and employing a professional textbook designer or at least someone with an eye for page layout.

The information in this book is too valuable to be given such poor quality presentation.

Really? 2 May 2012
My dad is part of this book, he is one o the martial artists in this book. He worked with Sam Kwok writing this book, he does not agree with all of the techniques in this book, claiming that not all could be used in real life situations. As he co wrote the book he knows what he is talking about and continued to run a martial arts school in the north of the UK which he gave to Dave Carnell (searh the name) whatever the school is will be near the top. Overall it speaks of the basic techniques but can not all be applied or put into context
