Have had this video for ages and was looking to replace with a dvd, however, having read reviews for other dvds I don't think I'll bother. The 5 stars are really for the performances which are taken from various championships rather than professional programmes and include Barnum, Mack & Mabel, Bolero and the fantastic OSP Paso Doble. I get the same feeling watching these performances now as I did watching them all those years ago and it is true that it is not the same as watching show versions. The tension of witnessing something completely different is still there. This is obviously a very different animal to later dvds in that is was made in 1984, just before their Olympic success and they had yet to obtain the poise and professionalism off the ice that they had on it. Them talking about 20 years in the future and being pushing around the ice now seems laughable when you consider they are continually pushing the boundaries. An oldie but definitely a goodie!
