this is THE guide if you are planning to sail (not on a "cruise ship") in Chile, Tierra del Fuego or Patagonia. Historical, political and cultural background, color photos, detailed maps, comments, GPS positions, meteorology, geology, and a wealth of specific navigational information gathered first hand by the authors. On a recent (2011-2012) passage in this area, we found "the Italian guide" was a constant reference source for sailors from all over the world. I cannot speak highly enough of this book, and am grateful for the authors' contribution to the world sailing community.
