Product Description

Review

This is a colourful and beautifully illustrated book, which will certainly appeal to young children. The story is well written and can be read and enjoyed again and again. It illustrates the basic principles of good citizenship in a fun manner without sounding 'preachy' or patronising. --Dr A Siddiqui (Publisher)

Refreshing & original, Sima Yacoob' stories reflet the children's right to be taught the difference between right & wrong, at a level that all cultures can share. --Mary Kinte (Author/ Teacher) --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Product Description

Covers Patagonia, from the peaks of the highest mountains in the Andes, through the beautiful lake district to the glaciated wilderness of Torres de Paine National Park; and from the passionate tango of Buenos Aires to the 'Land of Fire'.

I used this book to help plan a trip I am about to make to Patagonia, via Buenos Aires. Footprint is normally my guidebook of choice, wherever I am going, and it rarely lets me down. The maps are usually the weakest part of the book, but the layout and quality of writing usually compensate. This book has been recently revised and so should be up to date - I will know that for sure when we get there. The section on Buenos Aires is really useful, saving me the trouble and expense of buying and carrying an extra guide.

Patagonian footprints 13 Dec 2005
Format:Paperback
This is by far the best and most informative guidebook I found to Patagonia. It's easy to use and there's loads of practical information, which proved to be accurate when put into practice. It's a different style to most of the Footprint books - more pictures, shiny paper and concise information, which makes it easy on the eye and great to dip into. Personally I love this new style and hope Footprint do more books like this.

Waste of time 23 Feb 2008

Format:Paperback
Found this book to be inaccurate, out of date and completely unhelpful. The maps do not correspond to the descriptions and most of the places cited no longer exist.
