Pasta Chef - Perfect Pasta without a pan. Buy the large one and get the medium FREE. Pasta magic is the way to cook, strain and drain any type of pasta, all in one easy-to-use container. Place up to 1lb of pasta in the tall cylinder, add boiling water, press the strainer into place and snap on the thermal lid. In a few minutes it's cooked perfectly. Now just remove the lid again, drain away the water and serve. We are now offering a second canister FREE - ideal for fresh or frozen vegetales, cooking them quickly without boiling away vital nutrients and vitamins. Not sure how some people only gave this one star. I found it perfect for cooking pasta - haven't tried vegies yet as I usually steam them in the microwave to save losing all the goodness, but for its main purpose I found it first rate.
Have the 1 star reviewers been using it correctly? The water has to be boiling when added, and leaving pasta in the water for half an hour - of course it'll be sticky and mushy! Did they pre-heat the pasta chef as suggested, by leaving it for a few moments with some boiling water in it before tipping out and adding the pasta and fresh boiling water?

Wow!! I wonder how I managed all these years without one of these! Just didn't need one then I guess...
It's fantastic, just boil the kettle, put the pasta in the jar, pour over the boiling water then put the lid on and leave it for 10 minutes. Perfect every time. I even had to leave it drained for about 1/2 hour the other night while dealing with a sick child, I just poured some more water over it out of the kettle, shook it up a bit and voila! The pasta all unstuck and was perfectly edible (we were slightly sceptical too, initially!!) 10/10 I haven't used the 2nd smaller jar yet, but I suppose that could be used for smaller amounts of pasta, the recommendation is to use it for vegetables.

An excellent product that my wife and I use regularly. So simple and very little washing up afterwards. So good recommended it for my nephew for christmas hence the purchase. He finds it simple to 'brew up' a quick pasta meal for himself.
