Product Description

When successful neurosurgeon John Macandrew performs a routine operation, the patient undergoes a severe personality change post-surgery. The diagnosis is a rare condition called Hartman's Tumour, which leaves its victims deranged and destined to be confined to mental institutions.

Blamed by the patient's husband for the dreadful outcome, Macandrew retreats to his native Scotland to lick his wounds. It is there that he makes new discoveries about the mysterious illness and the chemical that induces it. Armed with this new knowledge, Macandrew thinks he may be able to save his patient, until he discovers someone is deliberately using the chemical to regress selected individuals and gain eyewitness accounts of past events.

A REAL CRACKER!!!! 1 Dec 2007
Format:Paperback
I have just read this and two other Ken McClure books and can't believe that this guy isn't more famous.

This is a real murder mystery in the old fashioned sense with a 'supernatural' twist - though perhaps even that choice of word can be debated!!! Are the patients suffering from some wierd brain tumour remembering past lives lived or are they suffering from a disease induced schizophrenia and how come they seem to know about things and places that occurred 1000's of years ago?

As the previous poster says, rogue priests chasing around in the hunt for some old christian artefacts leads the hero to discover some shocking goings on with fatal results!!!

This book is not only a fast paced page turner (you won't be able to put it down), but it has some unusual twists coupled with some intelligent information and scientific data that will stimulate as well as interest any reader who likes a bit thought to go with his book.

A real page turner 27 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I read this novel over 24 hours because, despite it being Christmas and the busiest time of year for me, I quite simply could not put it down. The main character is a neuro-surgeon who, while investigating the effects that follow from the removal of a malignant brain tumour in one of his patients, finds himself drawn into highly dangerous territories. This brilliant story line has believable characters, atmospheric settings in Edinburgh and Malta, a mad priest, some love interest and a good helping of paranormal psychology. I am certainly going to down-load more of Ken McClures novels...look out for more reviews.

Good story
This was an enjoyable, fast paced book, although a little far-fetched in places. It was certainly very readable and exciting.

I have to agree with the other reviews. This is edging into the over done territories. shallow detective/ historical/ religious myth or legend exposed or unearthed. Read more
