Product Description

The timeless American author Samuel Clemens, otherwise known as "Mark Twain" once wrote. "It is hopeless for the occasional visitor to try and keep up with Chicago. She outgrows his prophecies faster than he can make them." This was written when Chicago was only 46 years old. But even back then, everyone knew Chicago would be one of America's top cities and indeed she is. And she still continues to outpace men's prophecies.

Chicago, also known as "Chi town" sits on 26 acres of lakefront property known as Lake Michigan, Lake Michigan is just one piece of any large tapestry of extraordinary history that make Chicago one of America's greatest cities. Chicago is famous for many things chief among which would be gangsters like Al Capone, who made Chicago famous during the 1920s and 30s by operating bootlegging (illegal liquor transportation) enterprises as well as "speakeasies" underground bars and nightclubs. These underground bars and nightclubs helped to spawn another piece of culture that Chicago would be famous for. A whole genre of blues and/or jazz simply known as the Chicago blues, so if you are a music lover down many great jazz and blues clubs located throughout the city.

If, however you are more interested in gastronomy and musical rhythms Chicago, will definitely be able to provide every devout foodie with their fix. Chicago is most famous for their tea dish pizza. The deep dish pizza as we know it today, was introduced in 1946, and if you ask a Chicago native, where the best place to pick up a "pie" is they will probably tell you either Pizzeria Uno or Gino's East bogies restaurants have been around for generations and have perfected pizza making to its highest art form. Your pizza can be topped with everything from pepperoni and sausage to pineapple anchovies or whatever else happens to strike your fancy. And if for some reason, pizza just isn't what you are after, you can try another Chicago culinary institution.
The Chicago hot dog which consists of an all beef frankfurter on a poppy seed bun, we've mustered white onions, sweet pickle relish a dill pickle spear, a tomato wage, a sports pepper and a dash of celery salt (there are also many other variations too numerous to name here. But this is the classic Chicago dog) for each new Chicago dog experience. It is suggested that you visit Hot Doug’s

After you have sufficiently tested your stomachs ability to expand you may feel the need to burn off some calories so why not walk around and marvel at the architecture that is the soul of Chicago. You can even visit the Sears Tower (don't worry. You don't have to walk up thousands of stairs. They have high-speed elevators) from this spectacular iron and steel marvel. You will command a view of Chi town that is fit for a king.

After such a spectacular view you might want to continue expanding your mind and imagination in which case you should visit the natural history Museum of Chicago, as well as the Chicago Museum of fine arts, where you can see pieces from Rembrandt, Picasso and van Gogh and then learn all about the natural history of humanity, as well as a history then made Chicago. One of the greatest cities ever founded.

If you don't feel like renting a car on your vacation this won't be a problem, Chicago has the second largest public transit authority in America, otherwise known as the CTA (the Chicago transit Authority) buses and trains that run 24 hours a day on regular schedules. It will take you anywhere you wish to go in the city as well as to most major suburbs. Traffic in Chicago is the same as most major cities is fairly congested which can make sightseeing very trying at times. However, if trains and buses and schedules are not what you're looking for the city is filled with family taxi drivers that would be happy to take you wherever you wish to go.

The Miss Passport mini three-day unforgettable vacation itinerary will help to make your Chicago vacation as memorable as possible.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not very in-depth 4 Feb 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a very very brief guide about Chicago, in fact it’s more of an essay about the history of Chicago rather than a guide about what to do. The information it contains is useful and interesting but I would have liked something a little more in-depth.

This is the same information you can find free on the internet. Check the number of pages in the "book" and you will see it is very short. Don't waste your money.

1.0 out of 5 stars practically a scam 21 Mar 2014

This "book" reads like an "essay" written by a second grader. A scam by any definition, even the most charitable.

It's nicely laid out and very informative, and you will not be bored when you get there if you use this guide. It's very easy to use for any trip to this city that you would like to take.
