Remember Junior High? The things people said. The things they did. Are your children going through junior high now? Are they afraid of being laughed at? Of being picked on? This manual is fantastic for helping kids figure out how to be themselves. Given the keys and tools, children can figure out who they are inside and be able to stand up for themselves. Exercises, helpful tips, quizzes and questionnaires, along with a personal journal guide children in the way to find out about themselves.

This series of books is wonderfully helpful! Children will be able to figure out why their peers do and say the things they do. I found it to be done in a fun style and it's easy to understand. My own children enjoyed it once they got into it. I do suggest you read it with your child or before your child so you know what they will be dealing with. It's amazing. Well written and such a terrific tool. This one helps in areas where parents aren't sure how to approach them.

I found no issues with this one.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's a teaching tool worth it's weight in gold. ~Copy of book provided by author in exchange for a fair review~

5.0 out of 5 stars great 17 Dec 2012
By Nataliya Field - Published on Amazon.com

We all have been awkward and shy at one point or another. Especially during our formative years.

Orly happened to be just like any one of us. At some point just a normal girl, seeking approval of her peers, or choking when she should have spoken, or doing the right thing - simply for the sake of doing it.

She does a great job of looking at our identities as human beings, and tackles the difficult subject with experience of a pro.
Orly brings in her stories of youth to her advantage - every person loves hearing stories, and almost instinctively tries to relate.

I really hope her messages about finding something you're good at, never giving up and reaching out of our comfort zone hits home with the new generation.

Kids really need a compass in order to find out just how great a personality they can be if given an opportunity. Orly's book does just that with her words and included tools, allowing the teens to accept their weakest points and figure out their strongest ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Review of "Passions, Strengths & Self Esteem! The Extensive Guide!", Ages 12-16, Surviving Junior High Vol. 4 [Kindle Edition 20 Jan 2013

The Description of this ebook, by Dr. Orly Katz, told me what this ebook was about and the reviews that have already been written told me more about the story and how good it is so I expected it to be good.

I wasn't disappointed as I found this ebook to be a great ebook and one that would especially help people in the 12-16 age group and also people of all ages. I can relate to many of the stories and I am in my 70's. I wish I had read it when I was 12 years old.

This Ebook will help many young people in many ways. It will help give them more self esteem, more confidence and in many other ways too numerous to mention.
The author has several other ebooks similar to this one on other important subjects.

I found myself saying "WOW THIS IS GOOD MANY TIMES". This author has other ebooks and I will read them next. I can't praise this ebook enough and I recommend it highly.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best is in you! 11 Feb 2013

Right away the author validates the intent of the book using her ability to relate. She shows you in story form how she can relate and what came of her 'revelations'. There are interpersonal quizzes as well as little multiple choice personality quizzes.

I got this to read for my 16 year old autistic son but I was able to learn from it as well. She helps you find your "center", your "balance" and can lead you towards the ability to not only understand yourself but how others see and understand you. Also to change yourself in ways that are more than positive; they're fulfilling.

After reading this, and doing the worksheets, I can truly appreciate the depth of knowledge this author holds and she has broken many barriers with my son as far as comprehension - true comprehension- of specific subject matter relating to personality and its reflection towards everyone around us (including ourselves.)

A wonderful guide and self help booklet that not only answers questions about relations between self and society but helps draw you together with the part of you retaining the strongest ego. It reminds us as adults that we are all 'human' and that we need to believe in ourselves because it starts there! And, once we get the tools we can use this to help our youth. HIGHLY recommend --to anyone of any age!

4.0 out of 5 stars Esential Guide to Surviving Junior High 24 Sep 2013
By B.R.A.G.H. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
"Passions, Strengths, and Self Esteem!" by Dr. Orly Katz is basically an essential guide to surviving junior high. I enjoyed the book, and thought it contained some very good information. Although I haven't been in junior high for many years, it hasn't been so long that I don't remember what it was like. This guide would have helped me tremendously during those years where instead, I sort of went it alone and figured it out as I went. My only issue with the entire book was that it seemed slightly more repetitive than necessary. That's just me though, and remember that I'm a grown woman looking at this. I loved the personal stories and thought it made this a more insightful, personalized self help guide. I also thought the 'worksheets' made the point very clear, and it also gave kids a chance to really make the book personal- to think about what they were going to do, how they were going to do it, and why they were going to do it. I would recommend this book to anyone with children in junior high, and to junior high students, whether you think you/they need it or not.
