I read this book twice, straight away and lingered over each and every word, that's how much I love this book.I was so sick of the Hero's in so many of the other books that I read that I fell in love with this Hero, he wasn't what has become the norm in so many books, where the hero sleeps with any moving female, insults the Heroine to a point that it's burnt on her soul, he was alpha but not so over the top that you needed a restraining order against him. Okay they were engaged and they had a four year gap before she came home and it was such a waste of years, but I really think that she needed to grow up into herself because she was a young 18,she needed to learn when to stop her antics. But he loved her brazen as she was, he loved all of her and when he gave with his heart and soul and opened himself up to her and told her how he loved her and how he felt that's when he became the most perfect HERO for me (and the Heroine of course). This is definatly my favourite, and I thank Michelle Reid so much for giving me back my faith in Romance Books because it was lost among adulterous/selfish Hero's who's lack of faith/respect in the Heroine also showed a lack of LOVE. I would also like to thank Michelle Reid for giving me an ending that was not just a page long, it was full of love and openness, for once in forever a romance book left me satisfied and happy. This is how a ROMANCE book should leave you, this is ROMANCE. When Michelle Reid writes "you couldn't, I couldn't, we belong to each other" this is LOVE this is ROMANCE. As women we deserve LOVE/RESPECT that is given with a free open and honest heart. We should not have to accept selfish love, adulterous love, a love that makes us feel at fault, that is what is so often portrayed in so called Romance Books these days and makes me sad to think that we accept that as norm, because the majority of these books have the Heroine accepting this and even appologising to the Hero because she has been made to feel as she is to blame. So I thank you Michelle Reid for giving me back my faith, and hope that the next Romance book I read has even a touch of the Love and Romance in it that this book does. THANK YOU.
