Grant deals with the subject of sexuality in the setting of a psychiatric hospital. The story is realted from the point of view of Alice, a young woman suffering from anorexia nervosa. It deals with both subjects in an entertaining way, yet one which still manages to reach out and grip the reader. I found myself able to relate to this book as a past sufferer from bith anorexia and bulimia. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good read.

Told in a very thought provoking way, I loved it, very poetical, interesting dialogue, a story partly about anorexia but mostly about lesbian discovery. Don't buy this book if you're looking into the disease of anorexia, it is not about that. it's about women, and the denial of desire. i can't wait for this author's next one.

A very serious subject dealt with in a touching yet light hearted way. A definate read for anyone looking for a bit more than just a novel. I wish I could find more by this obviously talented author.
