Always bet on black....
on 11 February 2014
John Cutter is a security expert, who is presently still mourning the death of his wife.
His friend, who works for an airline, offers him the job of chief of security, which he accepts.
He is then being flown to L.A. for the company's annual meeting, where he will be introduced as the new Chief of Security. But unfortunately for him, Charles Rane, a stoic and deranged terrorist, who was caught by the FBI and is also being flown to L.A. is on the plane.
And Rane's people are on board, who then takeover the plane but Cutter throws a monkey wrench into his plans....
Die hard on a plane with Wesley Snipes and a guy who is doing Alan Rickman on the cheap. The film lasts for about eighty minutes, and it's just silly dumb fun all the way through.
Payne is deliciously over the top as Rane, with lines such as 'There will be no pain' and a hatred for his father, he is the epitome of direct to video (at the time) bad guys getting upgraded to the big screen.
Between 1991 and 1994 and thanks to Die Hard, the majority of big screen bad guys were Brits, as our accent is just so evil.
Snipes is good, it's his best role as a good guy and he never really bettered this in a leading role (Blade doesn't count in my opinion)and commands the screen whenever he is on it.
Hurley is there for eye candy and is worthless, and Tom Sizemore is there for goodness knows what reason.
It's a fun Die Hard rip off that never out stays its welcome, and is as dated ad Snipes silly jeans.
