It is user friendly and has some good exploded views, but this is a complicated car with many advanced features that are not in tghe manual. It will however reduce dealer costs and with VW that can only be a good thing. For the price even one little job this manual does may save hundreds of pounds,

Book is written for European Passat

I'm disappointed with this book. My 2005 Passat TDI has a BHW Engine. This book, published in the UK covers TDI's manufactured and sold in Europe, none of which have the BHW engine. Though similar to the engine in my Passat, there is just enough differences to challenge my ability. Avoiding challenges is why I bought the book. If you own a Passat manufactured for sale in Europe it's a great book. If your Passat was manufactured for sale in North America, keep looking.
