Product Description
Practical, commonsense solutionsfor preventing, treating and recovering from RSI
In this comprehensive, fully up–to–date guide, the world′s leading authority on RSI shows people how to relieve the pain and emotional distress of this potentially disabling condition. Incorporating all of the many advances that have occurred since the publication of his bestselling Repetitive Strain Injury, Dr. Emil Pascarelli offers proven methods for relieving the pain of RSI–induced conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tenosynovitis; preventing RSI through proper workstation setup; and regaining the use of muscles, nerves, and tendons damaged by RSI.

Emil Pascarelli, MD (New York, NY), is one of the world′s leading experts on repetitive strain injury. He was long affiliated with Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and St. Luke′s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. He has done substantial research and has been featured in major media.

From the Back Cover
One of the world’s leading authorities on repetitive strain injury tells you how to prevent, treat, and recover from RSI

Living with repetitive strain injury (RSI) can be painful, exasperating, and devastating. If you’ve given up hope that there is any help for your symptoms, if you’ve tried medications, wrist splints, neck braces, and exercises–and have had only temporary relief–this book is for you. Dr. Emil Pascarelli, one of the world’s leading authorities on RSI, offers a comprehensive, prescriptive, practical, and long–awaited sequel to his bestselling Repetitive Strain Injury. You’ll read all about the advances in RSI diagnosis, treatment, and prevention that have occurred since the publication of the previous book. Inside is welcome advice on:

  • Recognizing the early signs and risk factors of RSI before they lead to a serious or debilitating condition
  • Finding the right doctor, the right diagnosis, and the right treatment
  • Preventing RSI using commonsense solutions such as keyboard techniques, posture, and workstation setup
  • Employing practical methods to regain the use of muscles, nerves, and tendons that have been damaged by RSI
  • Relieving not only the pain but also the emotional stress that so often accompanies RSI
  • Following specific warnings for musicians and other at–risk professionals

Because symptoms of RSI are rarely visible, health professionals, employers, and fellow employees often cannot understand what a sufferer of RSI is going through. This book is the best way to understand RSI and learn what you can do about it.

This book cured my RSI in a matter of days. I strongly recommended it as the best of the RSI books. I disagree with the previous reviewer, however this shows that there are different sources to the problem.

I recommend this book to everyone, as it teaches you good posture and biomechanics at your workstation, which is essential to prevention as well as cure.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is NOT the answer, 10 Jan 2006

This book states that RSI is caused by a structural problem (e.g. pinched nerve, herniated disc) when in fact most people have such problems, but are completely unaware as these are pain free.

This approach to RSI is costing companies and suffers dearly and should be ignored.

Dr John Sarno has a different solution, but you'll have to be open minded. I read his book, did the work and am now 100% pain free.
