A stunning display of artistry, melody, and raw power 15 Nov. 2013
By Mby555 - Published on Amazon.com
In the ten years since A Wilhelm Scream released "Mute Print," more and more bands have been producing technical, melodic punk, but with "Partycrasher," AWS re-establishes themselves as the undisputed masters of the genre. They set a high bar with the first song, then hit it again and again.

Their lineup has been stable for over five years, and the overall musicianship of the band is borderline astonishing. But each lightning-fast fill exists to serve its song, and every time you think you're about to be thrown from the vehicle, it resolves itself in a catchy and memorable chorus.

AWS is a band that does what they do for the art, not the masses, and "Partycrasher" is no exception. It is difficult to write about a single song as standing out, because each one is multi-faceted, and there are no throwaways. It is the opposite of mindless music, a punk rock smorgasbord which reveals new details to get excited about with each listening.

"Partycrasher" will easily be the CD of the year for much of AWS's rabid global fanbase. And for punk rock fans who may not be familiar with them but have wondered what more could be done with the genre, this might be your answer.

It's been, like, 5 or 6 years since AWS released a record and this album was WELL WORTH THE WAIT. It's just soooooooo good. A Wilhelm Scream managed to maintain their form without sounding like they are running out of ideas. I just hope it's not another 5 years before their next album comes out.

Brutal !!! 11 Nov. 2013
By Sluttering0504 - Published on Amazon.com
A Wilhelm Scream has a sound we've heard for almost 20 years out of the punk/hardcore dum-diddle beats scene I grew up in. However, no band has displayed the talent this band has. All 5 members of AWS are masters of their instruments and have an unmatched understanding of music. Every song on this record is shock after turn after twist after "Did that just happen? Is that even possible?" It's ashame they've mastered their talents so late in the game because had they put this record out in 1998 at the same time Strung Out and Lagwagon were at the top of their game, A Wilhelm Scream would be legends. Prepare for an assualt, then drop the needle or press play.
