More About the Author

Jennie Walters worked in publishing before deciding to write her own books. She was partly inspired to create the 'Swallowcliffe Hall' trilogy by visits to beautiful old English country houses, and partly by finding a silver housekeeper's chatelaine when clearing out her late father-in-law's flat. As a teenager, she spent a couple of years in a clifftop boarding school in a converted Victorian mansion, with a sweeeping marble staircase and a collection of stuffed birds in glass cases. She now lives with her husband in London and is currently writing more books in the 'Swallowcliffe Hall' series.

Visit Jennie's website, www.jenniewalters.com, for fascinating detail into the world of Victorian servants and their masters and mistresses, original photographs, lots of background historical information, and much more!

Great to get little girls into reading. So much so that all other books of the Party Girls had to ordered.
