Format: Audio CD
Having supported Pulp ever after their fabulous live appearance at the 1995 Glastonbury festival, buying all their releases from "Different class" onwards it's always a bit dodgy to go back, listening to songs that were recorded before "His and hers", which for sure can be regarded as the turning point in their musical development. "Countdown" isn't bad, nor is "legendary girlfriend", but played live it is something I wouldn't want to listen to nowadays after a bootleg overdose in the 1990s, it's more like a nostalgic archive filler for collectors, whereas music lovers and Pulp enthusiasts should look forward to future Jarvis Cocker releases instead of dwelling on the past. If seriously interested in Pulp's live abilities I'd recommend purchasing the "Ultimate Live" DVD showing the band at their utmost best.
