I just loved this book. I had it on order for ages and thought it would never arrive but it was definitely worth the wait. There are stories from all my favourites in here - Marian Keyes, Sarah Webb, Cathy Kelly and Melissa Hill to name a few.... a lot of the stories are about cats and luckily I am a cat lover but there are also stories about dogs, birds and even a zebra! There are 36 stories in the book so you really get valuse for money and it'll last you a fortnight on the beach.... and the really good thing about this collection is that all the money made from it will be donated to animal shelters. I can't speak highly enough about this collection but don't just take my word for it - go and check it out for yourself!

This book is a real gem. I loved it and bought copies for my all friends which I will give as Christmas presents. Anyone who has ever owned a pet will love this book. There's a great mixture of short stories here. Maeve Binchy's story about Sheelagh the cat is witty and fun and Marian Keyes' wickedly funny story about her two imaginary dogs flying out to New yrok to try and make it in the 'adult fim' industry had me laughing out loud. Cathy Kelly has written a very moving account of her labrador and best friend that will bring tears to your eyes and Melissa Hill's fantastic contribution has her trademark 'twist in the tail'. Mary Malone's story about her dog is a moving, beautifully written piece and Sarah Ball's story The Nine Lives of George Black is so good you'll want to read it over and over again. The talented Julie Parsons has written an excellent story about her cat Oliver and Mary Stanley's story which features a zebra, gives plenty of food for thought. Some of my favourite authours from Sarah Webb and Colette Caddle to Claudia Carroll and Patricia Scanlan are in here. Adding to that combination you have new kid on the block, Amanda Brunker, Jacinta McDevitt, Tracy Culleton, Andrea Semple, Judi Curtina, Catherine Daly, Suzanne Higgins and many, many more. To sum it all up this book is a treasure and one that I will keep for the rest of my life. I love it.

I must confess that i am not a fan of short stories but i do love animals & whenever i saw the names of the authors who had written for Party Animal, this is what made me download it for my Kindle Reader. I wasn't disappointed. This is such an enjoyable read & has made me want to read more short stories. I would love to see a follow up to Party Animal

Sorry but this is one of the worst books I have read. Sorry author. Kept going hoping it would get better but half way through I couldn't stand any more.

Sorry - not recommended!
Despite having items by some of my favourite authors I could not finish this book. Think I rushed into buying this time rather than getting a sample first.
