I might have missed something, but why is there no bluray release of parts 1-4. I'm really exited that parts 5-8 are finally being released in uk. But would really like the first ones as well

Im surprised at this too. You would think they might do an all-in-one blu-ray collection rather then just releasing the 2nd half of the series...

Answer from Manga UK

"Hi, yes we will be releasing parts 1-4 on Blu-ray.

This will be coming at a later date (as will a re-release of Parts 1-4 on DVD.) However please note we have yet to announce the released date for this. I encourage you stay tuned to our facebook and twitter pages for further updates."

Good to hear.

I imagine if this is coming out in May, they might look at the 1-4 boxset release at around October then (To possibly tie in with the expos in london, help promote it)

Provided it doesn't get cancelled due to poor sales ;) - Full Metal Alchemist

What about the final two episodes 9 and 10?

Can you also look at series 3-4 of D-Gray man as well

Does Parts 5-8 mean 4 episodes? If so, it seems a bit much to charge 25

Parts 9 and 10 haven't even been dubbed yet, no point asking where they are. However, they will be dubbed much quicker than 5-8 took, because this time round there should be no problems with ownership rights and all that other stuff that went weird after the first four. I reckon 9-10 will see US (and maybe UK) release later this year but the 1-4 boxset will come out before then. They'll probably do a 1-10 boxset as well at the same time. Gonna be weird having 1-4, 5-8 and then 9 and 10 by themselves/as a combo, though.

Well 2014 has been with us for a while now and still no sign of 9 and 10.

No announcement on the Funimation of a release date or even if they've licensed them yet. The only other rumour is they're waiting to put three additional episodes of Hellsing: Dawn on the discs but they're being extremely tight lipped.

Hopefully this won't end up another D-Gray Man.
