I think this is my favourite book of alltime (although David Copp. is fighting a tough battle!) I've read the book hundreds of times and it makes me cry and laugh and smile over and over again without fail. If you're a romantic at heart, or you're just looking for a book to curl up with, cheer you up and make you feel warm - this is it. The characters are wonderful and connect with both the reader and eachother. It's not what I'd call soppy because so many brutal and emotional events occur and grip you, but it is delightful. If you liked Jane Eyre - you'll LOVE this. A glowing gem hides between the covers of this book.

this novel has such an easy opening that any reader who picks it up will be compelled to read on.The simple opening chapter sucks you in and delivers the most breathtaking journey of a group of people in an age where we would love to live and some have.dont let her history put you off. This book is a masterpiece.and if you let it.it will take hold of you page , after page, after page, twisting the story through times past, present and future, in a way only real life can do. this book is a must for everone. It also shows us how we can be much better people, with only the simpleist of helping hands. Its too good to be made for tv.

An Easy Read 25 Jan 2010
Format:Hardcover
I was influenced to get this by the reviewer who compared it to Jane Eyre. I was therefore expecting a lot. It was an easy read. I loved some of the supporting characters - Bert, Anne & Priscilla but couldn't believe all the aspects of Juno's & Mr Copperstone Snr's characters.
It was an enjoyable book but as I had such high expectations ultimately I was left a little disappointed.
An easy read it is, Jane Eyre it isn't.
